Description
Nos 7 to 9 Market Place is an 18th-century building located on the south side of Fakenham Market Place. It is finished in stucco and features a steep black-glazed pantile roof with a hipped corner. The building has a moulded eaves cornice and stands two storeys tall with an attic, positioned on a corner site with quoins.
On the west elevation, there are five first-floor sash windows with glazing bars. To the left, there is a small Victorian shop window that includes pilasters and a cornice. On the right, a pilastered doorcase is topped with a cornice. The roof has three flat-roofed dormers, each with sash windows. The north elevation features three first-floor sash windows with glazing bars, although the centre window is blocked. The ground floor has a large modern shop front, and the north slope of the roof is slated.
