Description
The Green Farmhouse is a farmhouse with a 17th-century core and a largely 18th-century facade. It is constructed of flint with a brick facade and a slate roof. The farmhouse is three storeys high and has three bays. A central panelled door is set beneath a five-vaned fanlight and semi-circular arch. Sash windows with glazing bars are located to the right and left of the entrance, each below a gauged skewback arch. Three similar sash windows are present on the first and second floors; the upper floor windows are smaller. The roof is gabled, with internal end stacks. The east gable has a stepped external stack dating to the 17th century. At the rear is a flint building with brick dressings, and a two-storey, cross-wing section roofed with black glazed pantiles. The cross-wing features segmental-headed casements and a dentil eaves cornice.
