Description
Bishop Ingle's House, formerly known as The Lawns, is a building dating from around the late 18th century. It stands three storeys tall and features three windows on the south side, which is rendered and limewashed. The windows are flush frame sash types, currently with only central glazing bars. The entrance is marked by a central wooden doorcase with pilasters. There is an added glazed verandah, and to the right, there is a one-storey projection with a bow casement window. A two-storey wing extends to the north. The house was renamed in 1963. Bishop Ingle's House and the house occupied by Mr and Mrs Fulford are part of a group that includes Nos 1 and 6 Cottage Yard, as well as the front wall and piers of Cottage Yard.
