Description

Grove Farm House, now divided into two properties, dates from the early 19th century. The north facade is built of gault brick, while the rest of the house is red brick, with a slate roof. The house has two storeys and is composed of three widely spaced central bays with taller, square pavilions to the right and left. The central bays feature a half-glazed door set within a fluted Doric doorcase. In 1984, casement windows were inserted, set beneath gauged skewback arches. The pavilions have French windows placed within semi-circular recessed arches, with a single casement window above. The pavilions are topped with plain parapets, and the roof has four ridge stacks.
