Description

Well House is a building dating from the 16th century or early 17th century, featuring a complex plan and alterations. It stands two storeys high with attics and has an entrance that is set back, accompanied by a small forecourt. Inside, there is early 17th century moulded panelling, massive stop-chamfered beams and crossbeams, wide fireplaces, and a circa 1700 arched cupboard with shaped shelves and a shallow half dome. Well House, along with Nos 1 to 5 (consecutive) and Standard House, forms a group.
