Canister Hall Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1800. It features a cement render on brick with a black glazed pantiled roof. The building has three bays and is two storeys high, following a double pile plan. There is a brick plinth, with two ground floor sash windows that have glazing bars, and three sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor. The porch is supported by wooden columns and has an entablature, with a panelled door that is partly glazed. The eaves are adorned with brick dentils, and the roof has four hips that rise to a central stack. At the south side, there is a lean-to with a cemented front and a brick return. The rear features a central castellated two-storey projection.
