Description

The Thatched Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located on Aylmerston Road. It is constructed of coursed flint with brick dressings and a brick rear wall. The roof is thatched. The cottage is rectangular in plan, with a 20th-century addition to the rear and a 19th-century addition to the right. It is a single-storey building with an attic, comprising three regular bays. A 20th-century doorway is centrally positioned and flanked by two 20th-century casement windows with leaded glazing. A bay to the left is constructed of brick and features a 20th-century casement. There are two eyebrow dormers. The right-hand gable end is stepped and features a gable-end stack.
