Description

High House is a house dating from circa 1830, constructed of pebble flint with brick dressings and pantiled roofs. It comprises a three-bay, two-storey main house and a two-bay, two-storey wing to the south. The design is Regency Gothick in style. The west front features two ground floor and three first floor casement windows with brick dressings and four-centred arches, each window divided into two lights and featuring a single horizontal glazing bar across the arched heads. The central door is brick-dressed with a four-centred arch and includes 20th-century panelling with nail heads, and may be attached to an earlier door. The house has brick quoins, coped parapets, and two end stacks. The wing to the south mirrors these details, with one ground floor and two first floor four-centred arch headed casements of two lights with four-centred arched heads.
