Description
This is an early 17th-century threshing barn located at The Grove. The barn is constructed of red brick with a reed thatched roof, with corrugated iron sheeting covering the west end. It has three pairs of large double doors on its north facade, with the eaves of the thatched roof raised slightly above these openings. A pantiled lean-to and cattle shelters are attached to the south side. The gables are parapetted with brick tumbling-in, and each gable contains a fixed light with glazing bars. Inside, the barn features a side-purlin roof with wind-bracing, and tie beams supported on timber knees; the original arch-braces have been replaced.
