Description

Barkers Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located on Ragmere Road in Old Buckenham. It is constructed from flint and clay lump and features a thatched roof covered with corrugated iron. The cottage has two storeys, with a central half-glazed panelled door flanked by one sash window with glazing bars on each side. On the first floor, there are two 2-light casements. The building has overhanging eaves, bargeboards, and drip shelves at the gable heads. Inside, there are chamfered ceiling beams. A single-storey outbuilding with a pantiled roof is attached to the north wall of the cottage.
