Description

The buildings at 26 and 28 High Street date to the 17th century, with later alterations. They are a pair of two-storey and attic buildings constructed of red brick, distinguished by cambered heads over seven flush frame sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor. An eaves board runs along the roofline, which is covered with pantiles. A gabled dormer window is visible on the left-hand side, retaining some original leaded glazing. The ground floor features a shop front with a wooden case and entrance towards the left. Nos 26 to 32 (even) form a group.
