Description
The K6 telephone kiosk, designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, is located to the north of the former Corn Hall. This kiosk features a cast-iron frame with a timber door and is painted red overall. It follows the standardised K6 design, with long horizontal glazing in the door and sides. Rectangular white display signs reading ‘TELEPHONE’ are present, along with applied crowns beneath the shallow-curved roof. The timber door retains its original hinge and handle. Inside, the original equipment has been removed and bookshelves have been installed.
