Description

No. 8 Sun Street is an 18th-century plastered building with two storeys, topped by a steep slate roof. It features a carriageway at the southern end and has five windows. The ground floor includes a shop window, while the central window on the upper floor has an ogee head with interlacing glazing bars. The doorcase, which is a simple later 18th-century addition, is pedimented and pilastered, with reveals of fielded panelling that enclose a door made up of three panels, including a square central panel flanked by long panels at the top and bottom. Notably, the ogee arched central window was formerly a doorway. Nos. 4 to 11 Sun Street form a group with this building.
