Description
Furneux Pelham Hall is a late 16th century manor house, primarily constructed of brick with a tiled roof. It was altered in the 17th century and reconditioned in the 19th century. The building has two storeys and attics, forming an L-shape with the main block situated to the south. The south front features a 2:1:2 arrangement of 19th century wooden bar and transom windows. Both the south and west elevations display three curvilinear gables, which have replaced earlier crow stepped gables. The attic windows are three-light with square moulded brick labels. Most of the chimney stacks have been rebuilt, although some still retain parts of their original octagonal shafts. The main staircase is from the late 17th century, and the interior includes notable 16th and 17th century panelling.
