Description
The stables and coach house to the White Hart Inn are 18th-century structures with 20th-century alterations. They are built of red brick, arranged in English Garden Wall bond, and have been colourwashed on the elevations facing the yard, topped with an old tiled roof.
The building is single storey with lofts and is arranged in an L-shape around the south and east sides of the inn yard, connecting to the rear of the White Hart Inn. The exterior features irregular fenestration, with central stable and loft doors on the west elevation, which includes a panelled door and casement windows on the ground floor and loft to the right. The south range has a wide opening that has been infilled with weatherboarding at loft level, and there are two 20th-century steel windows to the right in an area converted to an outhouse for the main building.
Inside, the ground floor contains three stalls, feed troughs, and a harness room, with a loft above. The roof features pegged rafters and a thin ridge board.
