Description
These are two conjoined barns from the 18th century located about 50 meters east-southeast of Broom Hall Farm House. They feature a timber frame built on a brick base and are covered with weatherboarding. The barns have steeply pitched corrugated sheet roofing and consist of 2 x 5 bays. Each barn has a central gabled midstrey, with the one on the left facing the house and the one on the right facing away, both equipped with opposing double doors. There is a lean-to structure to the left of the midstrey that faces the house.
Inside, the barns have jowled posts supporting cambered tie beams, with curved braces on the left and straight braces on the right. On the left side, there are lower butt purlins and collars that clasp the upper purlins. On the right side, angled queen struts clasp the lower purlins, with collars clasping the upper purlins.
