Description
Ashlyns Hall is a distinguished early 19th-century house featuring stucco walls and a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and attics, with a roughly rectangular plan. The southwest garden front showcases a central three-storey semi-circular bow that includes a cast iron verandah on the first floor. The southeast garden front is highlighted by a central pediment. The windows are sash style, with glazing bars present only on the first floor. A northeast wing was added after 1930. Inside, there is a circular entrance hall and a room above it, along with a fine staircase hall. The house is set within a small landscaped park that includes notable cedar trees. Ashlyns Hall is included for its group value.
