Description

The dovecote located to the north-east of Thrimley House is a 18th century structure that is timber-framed and weather-boarded. It has a square plan and features a tiled hipped roof that rises to a square louvre topped with a tiled pyramidal roof. Although no nests remain inside, the dovecote is noted in an early 18th century land record and is likely the oldest surviving rectorial cote in the county.
