Description

Cabbages is a timber-framed and plastered building, likely a hall house dating from the 15th to 16th century, with a floor added in the 16th to 17th century. The name is believed to come from a Huguenot weaver named Cabboche who lived in the house. The building has one storey and attics, featuring modern casement windows. The roof is tiled and half hipped, with a central chimney stack and one dormer. Inside, there are exposed timber-framing, ceiling beams, and joists.
