4 and 5 Bartlow Road is a 17th to 18th century timber-framed building. Number 4 features weatherboarding on the front, while the adjoining cottage to the north is plastered. The structure has one storey and attics, with small casement windows. The roof is thatched and includes two gabled tiled dormers, a central chimney stack, and end stacks.
