Penny Crofts is an 18th-century timber-framed and plastered building located at right angles to Bartlow Road, with two 20th-century wings added on the southeast side. The building has been renovated and features one storey with attics. It has small casement windows and a thatched roof, which includes two dormers and a central square chimney stack.
