Argyle House is a house that has undergone several builds, dating from the 16th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. It has two storeys and features a red plain tile roof with gables at both the left and right ends. The structure is timber framed and plastered. There is a 20th-century range of four square leaded casement windows and a plain red tiled porch with a 20th-century door. An off-centre square red brick chimney is present. To the right, there is an outshot extension that includes a double shop front bow window and a central door facing Station Road. The crosswings have side purlin roofs.
