Description
Lindsell Hall is a house that dates back to the 15th century, originally built as a hall house with cross-wings. It was partly rebuilt in the 16th century and extended at the rear in the 20th century. The structure is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tile roof. It has two storeys and features gabled and jettied cross-wings on both the left and right sides. The front has a three-window range of 18th century vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars, along with one modern casement window. A central chimney stack made of red brick from the 16th century has been rebuilt at the top. Inside, some of the timber frame is exposed, showcasing moulded bridging joists, stop-chamfered beams, and cambered tie beams. The house is situated on a moated site.
