Description

Maddings is a former farmhouse of Morris's Farm, built around 1500. This 14th-century timber-framed and plastered house has been significantly restored in the 20th century. It has two storeys, with the upper storey jettied at the front, supported by brackets, and features exposed timber framing. The windows are mostly modern casements with leaded lights. The roof is tiled and includes an original central chimney stack that has three trefoiled headed terracotta niches at its base.
