Description

This is a range of four cottages, numbered 1 to 5, located on Church Street in Newport. The cottages date from the 17th to 18th centuries and are timber-framed with plastered walls. They are mostly one storey high, with attics, although numbers 4 and 5 have been raised to two storeys. The windows are small casements, some with leaded lights, and the doors are boarded. Numbers 1 to 3 have roofs that are a combination of thatch on the upper part and tiles on the lower, with four gabled dormer windows covered in tiles. Number 4 has a thatched roof, while number 5 has a tiled roof.
