Description

This byre, located approximately 50 metres southeast of Great Canfield Park, dates from the 17th century and was extended to the southeast in the 18th century. It features a timber-framed structure, weatherboarded with a brick footing that is part English bond and part Flemish bond, and has a tiled roof. The building consists of four bays, with mortices for diamond mullions on each side of each bay, along with grooves for sliding shutters. It has jowled posts, straight tiebeams, and a queen strut roof construction supported by joggled butt purlins.
