Description

Loblollies is a house that has been converted into a restaurant, originally built in the 17th century and altered in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. The building features a timber frame, mostly covered with red brick in Flemish bond, with some areas of plaster, and is topped with handmade red clay tiles. It has three bays facing southwest, with a central stack that creates a lobby entrance. To the left, there is an 18th-century extension with an end stack and a small two-storey lean-to extension at the rear, along with a corner extension beyond that. In the right rear angle, there is a 20th-century flat-roofed single-storey extension.

A single-storey shop extends forward from the right end, now part of the restaurant, with plaster on the right return, a brick left return, and one brick buttress. The building is two storeys high. On the ground floor, there are two 20th-century casement windows, and on the shop extension, there is a 20th-century shopfront with a six-panel door and plaster and weatherboarding above. The first floor features two 20th-century casements and one 20th-century sash window. At the left end of the front elevation, there is a plain boarded door topped with a moulded pediment, and a 20th-century door is located at the front of a 20th-century gabled porch in the front left angle. The eaves have a dogtooth course, and the ground floor has exposed studding on the interior.
