Description
St Breock Cottage is a house, part of which is now used as a surgery. It dates from the 16th century or earlier and features a timber-framed structure with a rendered finish and a hipped plain tile roof. The building is two storeys high and has a one-window range on the front, which includes a short timber parapet.
On the first floor, there is a 16-pane sash window with a moulded surround. The ground floor features a larger 16-pane sash window, also with a moulded surround, and a doorcase that has narrow pilasters and a moulded hood. The door consists of two glazed lights above four recessed panels and is accessed by one stone step that includes a boot scraper.
At the rear, there is a two-storey projecting section with rendered walls and a hipped plain tile roof. A tall brick stack is present, abutted by a lean-to roof and a bow window on the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected, but there is a former jettied cross-wing that is partially visible from No. 11.
