Description

Wythams is a house dating from the mid 16th century, or possibly earlier. It is timber-framed, with plaster infill to the walls and sections covered in red tile hanging, and has a red plain tile roof. The house is two storeys high and follows a three-bay and chimney-bay plan, with the possibility of an earlier crosswing projecting at the west end. It has a three-window facade featuring 19th and 20th century casement windows. A 16th century red brick chimney stack is present, along with 18th century red brick and wall chimney stacks. Extensions were added to the rear of the house in the 17th century and later.
