Description

Chevers Hall is a house dating from the 17th century, with earlier elements. It is timber-framed and plastered, with a red plain tile roof. The house is two storeys high with attics. Originally it had a three-window front, now featuring 20th-century casements, 19th-century vertical sliding sash windows with side lights, and glazing bars. One original window remains, featuring ovolo mullions. A staircase tower is located at the west end of the building. The main entrance is topped by a flat hood supported by brackets. The house has red brick chimney stacks, some dating to the 17th century and others later. Internally, much of the original timber framing is visible, along with 17th-century oak panelling. The building was formerly known as Chivers Hall.
