Description
Nos 107 and 109 on High Street are a house that has been converted into two shops. The building dates from the 16th century, with 18th century and later additions and alterations, including modern shop fronts with boarded fascias added in the 20th century. It is timber framed and has a rough rendered exterior. The roof is covered with red plain tiles and features a flat head dormer along with a small paned casement window. There is a wing at the rear of the building. The structure has two storeys and an attic, with a two-window range. Notable features include a 19th century small paned oriel window with side lights and 19th century small paned double hung sliding sash windows also with side lights. A prominent central chimney with six attached shafts, a moulded base, and capping adds to the building's character.
