Description
This is a barn located at Hall Farm, to the north of the farmhouse, dating from the 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, featuring a hipped roof covered in red plain tiles. The barn consists of nine bays and includes straight braces to the tie beams, as well as through bracing to the walls. The top plates have halved and bladed scarfs. There was a partial re-roofing in the 18th century, which included a ridge board and side purlins. The barn has group value with the nearby church and hall. Historical records indicate that a new floor was added to the barn in 1783 at a cost of £60.
