Description

Hellens is an 18th-century house constructed with a timber frame and plastered walls, featuring a red plain tile roof. It follows a central passage plan and has rebuilt red brick chimney stacks at each end. The house is two stories high, with a five-window front incorporating double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. A pedimented doorcase with pilasters provides the entrance, and a heraldic plaque is affixed to the end gable. The side elevation showcases a 19th-century door topped with a semi-circular fanlight. Rear extensions were added in the early 19th century and more recently.
