Description

Nos 1 and 3, Market Hill, are a pair of buildings dating to the late 16th century, originally timber-framed. They have a later, 19th-century facade constructed of grey gault brick and yellow stock brick. Red brick string courses and voussoirs define the window arches. The building is three storeys high, with bay windows on the first floor. A pedimented parapet tops the facade. Internally, original 16th-century and 19th-century detailing is of good quality.
