Description
Brick House and Lysvean is a building that has been converted into two houses, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and is topped with handmade red clay tiles. The building faces south and features two rear wings and three rear stacks, creating a half-H plan. There are single-storey rear extensions as well.
The structure has two storeys. On the ground floor, there are three early 19th-century sash windows with 16 lights and two late 19th-century sash windows with 4 lights. The first floor has five early 19th-century sash windows, all with 16 lights. All windows have rendered flat arches, and some contain crown glass. The entrance includes one six-panel door with a fanlight featuring geometrical tracery, alongside a 20th-century door, both of which are sheltered by shallow hoods on profiled brackets. The roof is fully hipped, with the left rear wing having an M-type roof. The rear of the building showcases a good range of original three-light casements.
