Description

The crinkle-crankle wall is an early 19th-century structure that forms the boundary between the back gardens of numbers 9 and 11 on Church Street. It is built of red brick in stretcher bond and is one brick thick. The wall features gault coping bricks that have a pedimental section. It extends from the west corner of the building in an east-north-east to west-south-west alignment for approximately 32 metres, reaching the end of the garden of number 11. The height of the wall is about 1.5 metres at the southeast end and reduces to approximately one metre at the northwest end.
