Description

Bridge Farmhouse is a mid-to-late 17th-century farmhouse with an 18th-century kitchen wing, located on Ermine Way, Arrington. The building is timber-framed and rendered with modern roughcast panels, and has a plain tiled roof which is half-hipped to the rear of the main domestic wing. A red brick ridge stack, partially rebuilt, is also visible. The farmhouse is arranged in a T-plan, incorporating the 18th-century kitchen wing. It has two storeys and an attic. The front facade features three modern wood casement windows on the first floor, likely replacing original openings, and three ground-floor windows of a similar design. A baffle entry doorway is positioned opposite the ridge stack. There are also casement windows in the gable end of the attic. The rear wing dates to the 18th century and is timber-framed, rendered, and tiled with a half-hipped roof. This wing is single storey and has an attic.
