Description

Nos. 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 33, 35, and 37 on Church Lane are a row of almshouses built in 1864, as indicated by a panel on the gable end of the porch. They are constructed from white brick and topped with an asbestos tile roof featuring eight ridge stalks. This single-storey building consists of eight almshouses arranged in a single range. The windows have pointed and chamfered arch recesses, with two and three trefoil lights and original glazing bars. There are four gabled porches, each with pointed outer arches, and the entrances are fitted with boarded doors.
