Description
The Lodge at Newton Manor is a toll-house that has been converted into a lodge house. It was built in the early 19th century and extended around 1850. The structure is made of gault brick and features a Welsh slate roof with coped gables, ornamental cresting, and an elaborate central ridge stack. It is a single-storey building with a total of four windows, which are 6/6 unhorned sashes. The two inner windows are part of a central canted section that includes a four-panel door and a fanlight, and this section is complemented by a verandah supported on slim iron columns. On the left end, there is a bay with battlemented cresting and small extensions to the rear. Newton Manor itself is not included in this listing.
