Description
Mill House is a building that dates from the early to late 18th century. It was restored and extended in the mid to late 20th century. The structure is timber framed and plaster rendered, with the bay at the east end being part of the original mill house. It features a tiled mansard roof that is half hipped at the east end, along with a red brick stack that has been partly rebuilt. The house is two storeys tall with an attic, and on the south side, there are two casements with sham framing at the first floor. In the late 18th century, the western part of the building was rebuilt, maintaining the timber frame and plaster render, and it has a tiled roof with an end stack. This section is one storey with an attic and includes two hipped dormers, as well as two 19th-century three-light casements on either side of the doorway. The original mill was mostly destroyed by a fire in the 1920s.
