Description

Ivyfold is a mid-17th century timber-framed and plastered cottage located on the east side of Broad End, Elsworth. It has a thatched half-hipped roof with a local brick ridge stack featuring two diagonal shafts, and a 19th-century stack to the left. The cottage is one storey in height with an attic, and features a panelled door, four horizontal sliding sash windows, and three dormer windows. The left-hand room contains 18th-century details. According to the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments for West Cambridgeshire and the work of E. Evans in "The Church and Village of Elsworth" (1981), the building demonstrates group value.
