Description

Fitz Farmhouse is an early 17th-century timber-framed farmhouse, now roughcast rendered. It has a three-unit plan with a lobby entry. The roof is steeply pitched and covered in plain tiles, with a red brick ridge stack featuring a recessed panel at its base. The farmhouse has two storeys and a garret. The first floor has three 19th-century casement windows. The front entry is opposite the stack and contains an early 19th-century panelled door. A 19th-century gault brick addition extends to the rear.

Inside, there are abutting inglenooks in the hall and the room to the south. A main beam, possibly reset, with 16th-century moulding is located in the hall. The north room retains original sunken square panelling. An framed stair turret to the east is incorporated into the gault brick addition.
