Description
The Vicarage and Vicarage Flat is a mid-18th century house with an early 19th century extension located on Kimbolton High Street. The building has two storeys and is constructed from local brick and gault brick, which is painted and rendered, along with a 19th century rendered timber-frame. It features low pitched, hipped slate roofs with deep plastered eaves and has four chimney stacks.
The front facade of the 18th century section is symmetrical, showcasing five hung sash windows with glazing bars and a central four-panelled door set within a plain wooden architrave. The 19th century extension includes double half-glazed doors situated in a closed porch with a flat roof.
On the garden facade, the 18th century range has two recessed hung sash windows with glazing bars. The 19th century extension features four first floor recessed hung sash windows with glazing bars, alongside two similar windows to the right of a late 19th century canted stone bay window, which has double half-glazed doors and two hung sash windows. Inside, there is an open string staircase and raised and fielded panelled doors.
