Description

Jaykins is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered cottage originally designed with a three-unit plan. In the 18th century, it was extended to the east using red brick, and the west gable and stack were rebuilt. A north wing was added around 1930. The cottage features a pantiled roof with two plastered brick stacks, and the walls are tile-hung at the attic level. There are two dormer windows and six ground floor windows of various sizes, including one casement window with lattice lights. Inside, the cottage has inserted floors and an inglenook hearth.
