Description
The Manor House is a timber-framed manor farmhouse, dating primarily to the 16th century, with later additions from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is two storeys high with attics. The exterior is stuccoed with imitation masonry joints, incorporating colour-washed brick, and has an old plain tile hipped roof. A moulded eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. A substantial ridge stack is located to the right of the centre. A decorative band separates the two floors. The front features ranges of three hung sash windows with glazing bars, set within segmental-headed arches on both floor levels. An early 19th-century porch is situated to the right of the centre, with a tented, leaded roof, an eight-panelled door, and panelled reveals. A small oval window sits above the door. The rear elevation exhibits a tumbled parapet gable to the south wing and a hipped roof to the north wing. Inside, the hall and parlour retain fine moulded ceiling beams.
