Description

Number 17 Station Street is an 18th-century cottage that stands one storey high with an attic. It is possibly timber-framed and has a rendered exterior with brick foundations. The cottage features a thatched roof, with ridge and end stacks, and includes one dormer window. On the right side, there are two hung sash windows with glazing bars, while the left side has a three-light horizontal sliding sash window. A door is located at the gable end. At the rear, there are later 19th-century lean-to extensions. This building was once known as the "Boars Head" Public House, as referenced in deeds from 1844.
