Description
No. 44 Station Road is an estate cottage dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped by a half-hipped thatched roof featuring a central red brick ridge stack. The building has one storey and an attic. The central entrance consists of a plank door shaped to a four-centred arch. There are two dormer windows in the attic, also casement style, and two similar ground floor windows. The ground floor windows have cast iron lattices shaped to four-centred arched heads, set within wooden frames that include incised spandrels.
