Description
Bottisham Water Mill at Bottisham Park is a late 18th-century water mill constructed of narrow grey brick with a mansard roof that was originally covered with pantiles but is now fitted with corrugated iron. The building stands three storeys high with an attic and features an end stack on the left-hand gable end. The lucam, or projecting hoist, at the second storey has been removed. There are four windows and a hoist opening at the first floor, along with three windows at the ground floor, and two doorways. Inside, much of the original mill machinery is still intact, including two undershot water wheels, the spur wheel, the main shaft, and gears that drive the three mill stones.
