Description
No 2 Trinity Street is an early 19th-century building constructed of brick with rusticated stucco on the ground floor. It stands four storeys tall and features three windows arranged in a 2:1 pattern. The original shopfront has been altered with modern windows, but it retains a traceried door with a rectangular light above. The upper floors are adorned with sash windows that have glazing bars; the first-floor windows feature bracketed pediments and iron grilles, while the second-floor windows are plain but also have iron grilles. A band runs at the third-floor level, and the building has been heightened, with a parapet concealing the roof.
The rear elevation includes No 26 St Mary's Street, which is an 18th-century house that was refronted in grey gault brick in the early 19th century. This part of the building has two storeys and an attic, with one window on the ground floor, a large multi-paned window on the first floor, and an attic dormer. The entrance is a plain door, and it features an old tile mansard roof. Nos 1 to 3 Trinity Street form a group with this building.
