Description
The Richardson Candle wall-mounted lamps are located at 16, 19, 24, 27, 35, and 38 Trinity Street. Designed exclusively for Cambridge City by Sir Albert Richardson in 1957 and manufactured by the REVO electrical company, these street lamps feature a vertical, tubular lantern made of translucent glass, which houses three or four fluorescent tubes. Each lantern is topped and bottomed with a simple cast-iron capping and base, and is attached to the wall using a pair of plain metal brackets at each end. The lower bracket is embossed with the word REVO.
